WHAT IS BETA?

Welcome to the Bakersfield Elementary Teachers Association's online home. We represent the teachers, counselors, program specialists, speech therapists and nurses who work for the Bakersfield City School District. BETA has over 1,700 members, and is an affiliate of the California Teachers Association. CTA has more than 325,000 members - consisting of teachers and other education employees in the state's more than 1,200 school districts.
